A 1955 double die obverse Lincoln wheat cent graded MS 62 BN by NGC. This coin carries excellent details for the grade with very original surfaces. A very popular variety coin lately that has been in strong demand. This coin has been stored in a slightly older style NGC holder that has had some wear most notably throughout the reverse. It is still entirely intact but could use replacing in the future. This is one of our favorite variety coins ever minted by the United States Mint. Out of a mintage of 33,058,000 for the 1955 wheat cent the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 15,000 1955 double die wheat cents exist today! This coin is one of only 548 graded Mint State 62 BN by NGC.
