A 1955 double die obverse Lincoln wheat cent graded MS 62 BN by NGC. This coin carries excellent details for the grade with some very crusty original surfaces. We believe someone could easily remove some of the verdigris and this coin could potentially grade higher today. It looks very nice for the grade and is definitely completely un-messed with. This is one of our favorite variety coins ever minted by the United States Mint. Out of a mintage of 33,058,000 for the 1955 wheat cent the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 15,000 1955 double die wheat cents exist today! This coin is one of only 548 graded Mint State 62 BN by NGC.
