A gorgeous 1955 double die obverse Lincoln wheat cent graded MS 62 BN by PCGS. This coin carries excellent details for the grade with absolutely gorgeous blue and purple hue toned surfaces among both sides. This coin has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder. We believe the PCGS photo gives the best representation of the coloration on how this coin looks in hand. Unfortunately, we could not capture the toning in the photos that we took. This key variety coin has been in strong demand lately among collectors. This is one of our favorite variety coins ever minted by the United States Mint. Out of a mintage of 33,058,000 for the 1955 wheat cent the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 15,000 1955 double die wheat cents exist today! This coin is one of only 540 graded Mint State 62 Brown by PCGS.
