An absolutely gorgeous 1931 S better date buffalo head nickel graded MS 65 by NGC. It carries an exceptional strike throughout both sides with very mark free surfaces for the grade. It carries some beautiful toning around the rims of both the obverse and reverse.
This coin carries a mintage of 1,200,000. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 12,000 have survived in all grades today. This coin is one of only 773 graded Mint State 65 by NGC.
