It holds a typical weak strike for this San Francisco Mint date but has very mark free surfaces for the grade. it is fully red throughout both the obverse and reverse and has been housed in an old time 'NGC Fatty Holder'. A very appealing coin that has earned it's grade. This San Francisco Mint date holds a total mintage of 50,148,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 3,500 have survived in red condition such as this one. It is one of only 161 graded Mint State 65 Red by NGC.
