A very attractive 1926 S better date silver Mercury dime graded XF 45 by NGC. It holds excellent details for the grade with a good deal of mint luster remaining. We do believe this coin could have earned a higher grade by NGC. It looks sharper and more attractive than what is implied in the photos provided.
This San Francisco Mint date holds a total mintage of 1,520,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 6,000 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 34 graded Extra Fine 45 by NGC.
