It carries excellent details for the grade with attractive chocolate brown original surfaces with a streak of a 'wood-grain style' tone on the obverse. It holds a strong date, very clear S Mint-mark, and a bold easy to read 'VDB' on the reverse. This key date coin has been one of our best sellers lately as they have been in high demand. The 1909 S VDB Lincoln wheat cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a low mintage of only 484,000.
