1888 O $1 Morgan Dollar DDO Hot Lips NGC XF 45 VAM 4 Double Die Variety Top 100

An 1888 O Double Die Obverse, "Hot Lips" top 100 Morgan Dollar variety graded XF-45 by NGC. This variety is one of our favorites for the Morgan Dollar series since it is so dramatic on her lips on the obverse. It has been noted by NGC to specifically be called the VAM-4 DDO Hot Lips variety. A slightly tougher grade to find this variety coin in. This date holds a massive mintage of 12,150,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 20,000 of these have survived today that are the Hot Lips variety. It is one of only 125 graded Extra Fine 45 by NGC.
