1881 S $1 Morgan Dollar NGC MS 64 Uncirculated Tab Toning Blue / Orange Cert#7115

A beautiful 1881 S silver Morgan dollar graded MS 64 by NGC. It carries a superior quality strike throughout both sides with very attractively toned surfaces. We would say it looks like this coin has what we call 'tab toning'. It carries some very attractive purple and orange toning throughout the obverse. This date is among the most common for the entire Morgan dollar series. It holds a huge mintage of 12,760,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 1,200,000 have survived in all grades today. It is one of 110,348 graded Mint State 64 by NGC.
