1862 G$1 Gold Dollar Princess Head PCGS MS 62 Uncirculated Civil War Date Cert#9948

A very attractive 1862 civil war date, liberty gold dollar graded MS 62 by PCGS. It carries a great strike throughout both sides with attractive original surfaces. A popular date among collectors being a higher mintage and more affordable Civil War date for the series. This date holds a large mintage of 1,361,355. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only a sliver (4,500) have survived in all grades today. This coin is one of only 703 graded Mint State 62 by PCGS.
